Tuesdays, March 3rd - April 7th

This six-week advanced course focuses on enhancing one’s individual style. Emphasis will be placed on moving out of one’s comfort one, experimenting with paint quality, value and chroma. Through still life, including quick fire challenges, as well as working with photo references and adding the imaginary, the artist will aim to add a new dimension to their current painting language.
There will be discussion of traditional and contemporary artists alike. Each class will end with a collective critique by the instructor, in order for individual artists to gain from the others’ experiences.
Course materials: Oil paints, solvent, medium of choice, surfaces, palette and enthusiasm. The instructor will have additional materials in the studio to sample and explore.
Level: Experienced to Advanced
