In this six week class, we will place emphasis on strong compositional skills as well as prioritizing color and contrast. There will be discussion and demonstration of both master and contemporary artists’ works. The instructor places emphasis on each artist’s personal style while also critiquing on a group level.
Each artist is asked to bring: oil paints, non-odor solvent (like gamsol), medium of choice, brushes and a surface (canvas or panel). The instructor will have additional paints and mediums to sample and use available in the Studio.
Level- intermediate to advanced
