Tuesdays 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 10am-1pm
This course will guide the artist through the multi-pass approach to painting. Beginning with sound composition, color and value assessment and moving into the refining processes. Glazing and other techniques will be used in the completion of the works. There will be materials available to discuss master artists’ work, both traditional and contemporary. Each artist will have their own setup station with individual instruction followed by a summary critique for the group at the end of each class.
Artists should bring oil paints, palette, brushes, painting surface and enthusiasm. Instructor will provide additional supplies to sample and for instructional purposes.
